Anesthesiology - Pediatrics Physician

The Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in coastal Charleston, SC is seeking a pediatric anesthesiologist to join their cohesive, highly functioning group. The position is full-time, academic, multi-disciplinary team-based practice including resident and fellow clinical and didactic education.

About the Division of Pediatric Anesthesia:

The division of Pediatric Anesthesiology has been rapidly expanding since the opening of the Shawn Jenkins Children s Hospital and the Summey Medical Pavilion Ambulatory Surgical facilities. It excels in the full range of pediatric diagnostic, interventional catheterization, and surgical procedures for acquired and congenital cardiac diseases. The division treats patients from birth through adolescence and, in the case of congenital heart disease, into adulthood. Our comprehensive surgery program is the only one in South Carolina and has achieved an outstanding overall 30-day survival rate.

Required Qualifications:

• American Board of Anesthesiology certification or eligibility
• Pediatric anesthesiology fellowship training with board certification or eligibility
• Eligibility for South Carolina licensure
• Strong clinical, education and interpersonal skills that will enable one to work collaboratively with colleagues and be a leader within the department and institution
• Research experience and interests are preferred but not required
