Registered Nurse (RN) - Dialysis, Home Training

As a Home Training Dialysis Nurse, you will be at the forefront of empowering patients to transition from center-based care to independent, home-based therapies, enhancing autonomy, confidence, and long-term outcomes.

In this highly impactful position, you will blend clinical skill with patient education, guiding individuals and their families through Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Home Hemodialysis (HHD). Your work will extend beyond traditional care settings, allowing you to build meaningful relationships and see the real-world impact of your care in the patient’s home environment.

The Role:

This is a dynamic, patient-centered role that combines clinical care, education, and relationship-building. You will serve as both a clinician and coach, helping patients successfully adopt and manage dialysis therapies in their daily lives.

On a typical day, you will:

• Conduct in-home assessments to ensure a safe and supportive dialysis environment

• Deliver comprehensive education and hands-on training to patients and caregivers on PD and HHD therapies

• Build strong, trust-based relationships that encourage confidence and independence in home care management

• Monitor patient progress through ongoing clinical assessments , adjusting care plans as needed

• Manage medications, dialysis supplies, and treatment protocols to ensure continuity of care

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to supportoptimalpatient outcomes

• Provide continuous support and troubleshooting , helping patients navigate challenges with confidence

**Minimum Qualifications – **

• Education: ** ** Graduate of an accredited nursing programrequired. Bachelor of Science inNursingrequiredwithin 5 years of hire.

• Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.

• Licensure/Certifications : Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certificationrequired.

Physical Demands -

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

**Compensation ** -

New hire compensation will be determined by previous work experience, education, and/or experience. 

Starting Pay - $39.90/hour

Onboarding Requirements -

Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a  drug screen.

The pay range for this role is $39.90 - $53.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
