MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Mechanical Engineer Position Objective: The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of our plastic manufacturing processes and equipment. This position requires a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, a strong background in plastic manufacturing, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in mechanical engineering within the plastic manufacturing industry. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools. Strong knowledge of plastic materials, molding processes, and manufacturing equipment. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non‑standard work hours as necessary. Capable of effectively managing job‑related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Job Responsibilities Design and Development Design and develop new plastic manufacturing processes and equipment. Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for plastic products and machinery. Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new projects. Process Optimization Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost‑effectiveness. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes. Maintenance and Troubleshooting Oversee the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime. Develop preventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability. Quality Assurance Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet quality standards. Conduct root cause analysis for product defects and implement corrective actions. Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Project Management Manage engineering projects from conception through completion. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Prepare and present project reports, including timelines, budgets, and progress updates. Research and Innovation Stay updated with the latest advancements in plastic manufacturing technology. Conduct research to develop innovative solutions for manufacturing challenges.
