About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience with community hospital experience required. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI preferred. Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred. Description: The role involves providing patient care in a progressive care unit. Ratios are 1 nurse to 5 patients. Knowledge of cardiac telemetry and emergency response is essential. Familiarity with management of dysrhythmias and post-cardiac procedures is required. Skills in IV therapy and phlebotomy, including blood product administration, are necessary. Experience with feeding tube care, hemodialysis management, and tracheostomy care is expected. Quality wound care practices and isolation precautions are vital. Adaptability to float between departments is necessary. Ability to work weekends, including a minimum of 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling period, is required. Professional proficiency in managing medication protocols is expected. Experience with cardiovascular patients, including AMI, heart failure, and sepsis management is needed. Successful candidates must excel in teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills and a commitment to patient safety.
