TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Prescott, Arizona, 86301!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights every other week Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Reading basic telemetry strips Experience with CVA and TIA Experience with total joint replacement Description: Prescreening and manager review are required. Clinicians must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract. If a clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be disqualified for 6 months. Candidates may not have been employed full time, part time, or PRN with any associated facility within the past year. The unit has 49 beds. Patient to nurse ratios are 1:5. Required certifications are BLS and ACLS. Common diagnoses include CHF, COVID, respiratory issues, gastrointestinal conditions, diabetes, telemetry, post-cath, and total joint replacements. Experience in reading basic telemetry strips is essential. Nurses are required to interpret strips and sign off at least once per shift. Charge nurse and house supervisor roles are present. Nurse aides are available with a ratio of 1:10-15. Equipment used includes BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments. Shifts are scheduled for 7 PM to 7 AM, on a self-scheduling basis for a 4-week period. Weekend requirements include working 2 weekends per 4-week schedule. Holiday requirements include working on specified holidays. Floating to other units may be required based on qualifications. Scrub color is navy blue. There is a cancellation policy of 4 shifts per contract, or 3 shifts if the contract is under 13 weeks. Charting is done using Cerner.
