Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift | 72 Guaranteed Hours Biweekly (excluding on-call time)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Medical/Surgical Telemetry boarder patients housed within the Emergency Department while awaiting inpatient bed placement
• Manage a patient assignment in a high-volume environment, with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 and an average census of approximately 40 boarding patients per day
• Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry readings, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate safe and timely patient transitions from the ED to inpatient units
• Accurately document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Must pass telemetry competency testing within 2 attempts during the compliance/onboarding period
• Prior experience caring for boarder patients in an Emergency Department setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong background in Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage high patient volumes while maintaining quality care standards
