About the Position

Job Title: RN - Cath Lab Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required; 2 years preferred License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: First-time travelers are accepted, but not preferred. Description: The RN will work in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Responsibilities include circulating, monitoring patients, and medication administration. Experience with sedation is required. If trained and proficient in scrubbing cases, it is considered a bonus, but not mandatory. Patient types include those undergoing cardiac caths, Impella, Watchman, TAVR, ECMO, and others, including pediatric patients. The department focuses on patient safety first. Support within the department includes an Assistant Clinical Manager and a team of physicians, respiratory therapists, and anesthesia professionals. Technology used includes EMR systems such as EPIC and department-specific equipment, including Siemens x-ray systems. Orientation will be provided to familiarize with the laboratory and surroundings.
