Job Description
The Mechanical Engineering Manager will lead a small team of 1-5 engineers focused on the design and development of products and aerospace projects. This role emphasizes team leadership, project planning, and ensuring high-quality engineering outputs while fostering continuous improvement and mentoring within the team. The position offers the chance to lead cross-functional initiatives with no travel requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a small mechanical engineering team
- Oversee project planning and coordinate resource allocation
- Conduct design reviews to ensure technical accuracy and quality
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and product quality
- Ensure quality assurance throughout product development cycles
- Mentor and support team members’ professional growth
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Experience in project management and mechanical design
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Background in product development
