Provide exceptional patient care while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout imaging procedures. Explain imaging procedures clearly to patients and answer questions to promote understanding and cooperation. Verify patient information and ensure appropriate preparation prior to examinations. Operate X-ray and CT equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with departmental protocols. Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. Maintain competency in all assigned imaging procedures and equipment. Adhere to radiation safety standards and best practices to minimize patient and staff exposure. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to support timely and accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational policies and procedures. Education Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Experience Required 2 years minimum experience in diagnostic imaging & CT. Preferred experience in emergency, pediatric, and orthopedic exams in both modalities. Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision. Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment. Must be familiar with age specific criteria. Required Registration/Certification Must be registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) & South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA). Must be registered in both Radiography (ARRT) (R) & Computed Tomography (ARRT) (C) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required , either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance.
