About Ria Health Ria Health is a national telehealth provider specializing in alcohol use disorder (AUD) treatment, offering patients a supportive, technology‑driven path toward reducing or eliminating alcohol consumption. Role Overview The Clinical Intake/Triage Nurse works remotely in a virtual team clinic environment, collaborating with medical and support staff to monitor and advance members’ progress. This is a contract (1099) position, fully remote, with an expected commitment of approximately 10–15 hours per week and flexible scheduling. Responsibilities Assess patient history and establish a care plan. Manage medication prescribing, dosage, and administration. Order and interpret laboratory results as needed. Monitor health outcomes and coordinate comprehensive care. Revise care plans in collaboration with medical staff and coaches. Schedule patient appointments in accordance with company, medical, and insurance requirements. Conduct 45‑ and 20‑minute video appointments with patients. Communicate with patients via phone, app‑based text, and HIPAA‑compliant email. Build relationships with Ria members to support engagement and lasting outcomes. Provide prompt prescription renewals and modifications. Demonstrate professionalism, attentiveness, and punctuality during all interactions. Enter medical documentation and billing information into Athenanet. Participate in virtual rounds. Collaborate with Product and Coaching teams on program development. Comply with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, Ria Health policies, reimbursement and accreditation requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local laws. Engage in continuous learning and advocate for industry best practices. Provide services during normal business hours and/or as approved. Plan schedule around member load to optimize continuity of care. Qualifications Board Certified Psychiatrist (or Physician Certified in Addiction Medicine); preference given to candidates with additional COMPACT States Licensure. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in addiction treatment. Technology‑savvy with experience using service apps such as Athenanet and Zoom. Experience utilizing pharmacologic therapeutic interventions for addiction. Strong team player with a high level of professionalism toward members and colleagues. Relationship‑focused orientation; telehealth experience is desirable. Secure private office capable of professional background, proper lighting, and high‑speed internet for video appointments. Acceptance of confidentiality requirements and adherence to all Ria Health information security policies. Competencies Advanced clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and management of mental health and substance use disorders. Integrated care delivery implementing evidence‑based interventions within a holistic model. Policy advocacy to promote access to mental health and addiction services.
