Front Office - CashierExpanding fast - Looking for a dedicated, expansion-driven Front Office - CashierAbout our practice: The Atlanta Dental Center has been serving patients in Atlanta since 1982. We offer a high-paced clinical environment with the latest dental technology (CEREC, 3D X-Rays, Digital X-Rays, Advanced Oral Photography, paperless patient charts, etc.). Our doctors are highly accomplished amongst their peers with Fellowships and Accreditations in a variety of dental associations. We offer benefits and clear routes to skill improvements (including training).We do not participate in any insurance networks, however, we do accept insurance and we see many new patients every day we are open. We also have specialist dentists on staff, including a Periodontist. We have full-time employment (40hrs) for all staff.Our Location: 620 Peachtree Street NE, Suite 204, Atlanta, GA 30308The Hours for this Position: Monday 8:50 am- 5:00 pm, Tuesday 7:50am-5:00 pm, Wednesday 8:50 am-7:00 pm, Thursday 7:50 am-5:00 pm, and Friday 7:20 am-3:00 pm.Your Mission(s): Your two primary missions are to:Graciously, professionally and in a very friendly manner with complete accuracy receive funds from patients and/or process payments from patients for their dental services and account for those funds in the patients' ledgersProcess and send insurance claims and pre-estimates for the services that patient either received or may receive.Specific responsibilities & duties:Processing payments from patients and recording them on the ledgersProcessing and sending insurance claims on behalf of the patient for services performedProcessing and sending insurance pre-estimates on behalf of the patient for potential servicesScanning and recording any papers created as a result of the patient's visitCreating & updating patient files in Dentrix softwareReprocessing/resubmitting insurance claims with photos, narratives, etc., when neededGraciously, professionally and in a very friendly manner helping patients with any questions regarding their visitCalling on claims not yet received to get the claim processed by the insurance companyOther administrative and organizational duties, as assigned, associated with front office dutiesRequired qualifications:Ability to accurately account for funds paid by a variety of payment methods (cash, check, credit, 3rd party financing)Excellent multitaskingExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent phone skillsAbility to present a genuinely friendly, welcoming, and professional demeanor at all timesCompetent computer skills required and ability to quickly learn new softwareDentrix software skills are a plus.Must speak and write English fluently and clearly.Required personality and behavioral characteristics:Team playerQuick to learnNo holding on to upsets or disagreementsHigh duplication of tasks and directions and detailsResponsible for job and patientHighly ethical and accountable (when interacting with patients, this is very important)Attention to minute detailVery well organizedUpbeat and enthusiasticProfessional personal presentation and demeanor is requiredOffered salary & other compensations:We offer a very competitive starting salary, based on your experience and performance record – including benefits such as dental, paid vacations, supplemental insurance, transport, bonuses and education.
