POSITION SUMMARY

The CDL Route Driver is responsible for “hands on” role servicing a busy route daily and providing excellent customer service to a variety of businesses within the geographical Avondale, Pennsylvania areas. Work week will typically be 50 hours a week.

Essential Functions:

• Provide on time service and delivery to all accounts on a daily basis.
• Follow outlined delivery itinerary and company instructions for each customer and vendor.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork, invoices, checks and correspond with the office.
• Process customer credit returns, and vendor pick-up deliveries with warehouse management.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• CDL Class B with 2 years of driving experience preferred.
• Clean driving record and up-to-date driver's license, abstract and medical card.
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Must possess good reading, writing and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

·         Ability to drive prolonged periods throughout the shift, as well as being able to kneel, bend and reach repetitively.

·         Able to load and unload trucks

·         Ability to lift, move and carry 40+ lbs.

·         Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

·         Work in climate controlled 34-35 Fahrenheit degrees warehouse environment.

Other Physical Requirements:

·         Must wear company issued protective gloves, hair nets, must wear clean clothing.  No jewelry can be worn on a body of any kind including facial or ears.
