Position Summary

Seeking a Structured Cabling Technician with experience in cable installation, terminations, and low-voltage systems. This role involves installing, labeling, testing, and supporting network cabling infrastructure in a construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull, route, dress, and label Cat5e/Cat6 cabling to industry standards.
• Perform cable terminations and punch-downs on patch panels and telecom blocks.
• Assist with cable testing and troubleshooting using testing equipment.
• Support fiber optic cable handling, routing, and organization.
• Maintain accurate cable labeling and documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Work closely with project leads and experienced technicians to complete installations on schedule.

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience with structured cabling, cable installation, or low-voltage systems.
• Experience with terminations and punch-downs.
• Construction site experience.
• Ability to use hand tools and cable testing equipment.
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance.

Preferred:

• Experience testing cabling with Fluke or similar equipment.
• Exposure to fiber optic cabling.
• Telecommunications or data center experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Lenoir, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
