Assistant Controller

Ivey Homes is looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our finance team as Assistant Controller. This is a hands-on, technical role perfect for someone who loves the details of financial reporting and wants to grow their career with a builder-developer that's been part of the Augusta community for generations. Reporting to the Director of Accounting and Finance, you'll help keep our financial records accurate, our reporting on time, and our processes running smoothly. What You'll Do Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and reports, ensuring GAAP compliance Manage bank reconciliations , cash flow, and budgets Support external audits, tax returns, and insurance audits Reconcile construction loans, lot sales, and closings in MarkSystem accounting program Maintain the Fixed Asset Schedule and support policy/procedure documentation What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in accounting; 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience Strong GAAP knowledge and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office; back-office accounting software experience a plus Ability to manage deadlines and high volumes of work independently Strong communication skills and sound judgment with confidential information What It's Like to Work at Ivey Homes At Ivey Homes, we build more than houses - we build a culture rooted in teamwork, quality, integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
