Property Maintenance Crew Member

M. Shapiro Real Estate Group is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated Property Maintenance Crew Member to join our team in Ann Arbor, MI. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of our manufactured housing communities and assisting with a variety of maintenance and repair projects.

The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and has experience performing general maintenance and repairs.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on community buildings, homes, and equipment
• Complete basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs
• Maintain community grounds, including mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, and leaf removal
• Install mulch and maintain landscaping and flower beds
• Operate and maintain lawn care equipment, including mowers, weed trimmers, and leaf blowers
• Assist with home renovations, remodeling, and turnover projects
• Respond to maintenance service requests and emergency repairs as needed
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities
• Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and scheduled services
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance requests
• Assist with additional maintenance projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of general maintenance or property maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance
• Ability to safely operate landscaping and maintenance equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to work on-call for emergency maintenance when schedul ed

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance, construction, or property maintenance experience preferred
