The Banquet Server/Bartender is responsible for the execution of Banquet Food and Beverage service of all assigned banquet functions; ensuring events follow Banquet Event Order guidelines and brand standards; providing the highest quality of service to guests and co-workers; maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance in the meeting space.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor as needed:

• Ability to understand and follow banquet event orders.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space, pre-function space and storage areas to include the carpets, walls, walks, windows, and heating/air conditioning units, etc.
• Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and organized manner stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for meetings or food service functions.
• Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the company's mixing, portion control and presentation standards.
• Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous and professional manner.
• Be familiar with the operation of the P.O.S. system.
• Carry out cashiering functions in closing checks and servicing the guest.
• Follow all state liquor laws.
• Follow prescribed procedures in serving liquor with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests.
• Follow Legacy Ventures Hotel cash handling procedures.
• Comply at all times with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
• Comply with certification requirements as applicable to position to include Alcohol Awareness, Food Handlers, Safety, etc.

Qualification requirements:

• Must have a flexible schedule and ability to work days, evenings or nights any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
• Must have exceptional customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks in a busy environment and remain flexible.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Must have a self-starting personality with an even disposition to effectively communicate with guests and staff.
• Ability to obtain Food Handlers and Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State and Brand requirements).
• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
