The Customer Service Representative will interact with customers by proactively addressing inquiries and resolving concerns. Our Customer Service team is committed to Service, Efficiency, and Safety. Duties/Responsibilities: Interacts with customers via telephone, email, or in person to provide support and information on products or services and serves as a liaison between customers and the company Collects and enters orders for new or additional products or services Supports the team during peak winter months by handling increased call, order, and delivery request volume Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards it to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers’ problems and concerns Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications: Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (required) Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience Experience in high-volume phone call settings (preferred) Experience in the petroleum or propane industry (preferred) Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Service-oriented with the ability to resolve customer concerns Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to quickly learn and use new software Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, using a phone, and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds as needed to safely assist with duties around the plant Must pass pre-employment screening and background check The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work that is expected to be performed.
