OLS Analyst/Optical Engineer

- Role: OLS Analyst/Optical Engineer (L4)
- Location: Columbus OH, Portland OR (100% Onsite)
- Duration: Long-term Contract
- Strong Optical Networking Expertise (Must-have)
- Candidate has deep hands-on experience in DWDM, OTN, SONET, ROADM , and real-world deployments across large telecom and data center environments.
- Ciena Ecosystem Experience (Highly Preferred)
- Proven work on Ciena 6500 (Preferred), Waveserver, and packet platforms , including design, deployment, provisioning, and troubleshooting — aligns directly with L4 expectations.
- End-to-End Deployment & Provisioning
- Experience in circuit build, commissioning, MOP execution, and test validation , which is critical for field execution roles.
- Integration, Migration & Decommissioning
- Strong background in network transformation projects , including migrations from legacy (SONET/TDM) to modern architectures.
- Advanced Troubleshooting & Tier 3 Support
- Hands-on exposure to complex outage handling, root cause analysis, and escalation , supporting high-impact production networks.
- Documentation & Process Adherence
- Extensive experience creating SOW, BOM, MOPs, test plans, and engineering documents — aligns with deployment documentation requirements.
- AWS (Nice to Have but Valuable)
- Prior work with AWS data center interconnects and cloud environments , indicating ability to adapt to AWS-based workflows.
