Catering / Event Manager

The Events Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing exceptional public and private events that enhance the guest experience while supporting the brewery's sales and community presence. This role oversees event logistics from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up, ensuring every event reflects Henceforth Brewery's commitment to outstanding hospitality, craft beer, and memorable experiences.

The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple events and priorities.

• Respond promptly to private event inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
• Conduct venue tours and consult with prospective clients.
• Coordinate event details including scheduling, room layouts, catering, beverage packages, entertainment, and special requests.
• Prepare event agreements, collect deposits, and maintain accurate event records.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients before, during(for large bookings), and after events.
• Coordinate with brewery staff to ensure seamless event execution.
• Oversee event setup, service, and breakdown.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently.

• Plan and coordinate brewery-hosted events including:
  • Live music
  • Trivia nights
  • Beer releases
  • Community fundraisers
  • Festivals
  • Seasonal celebrations
  • Vendor markets
  • Educational food & beverage events
• Build relationships with local musicians, vendors, nonprofits, and community organizations.
• Develop an annual and monthly events calendar.
• Coordinate event logistics, staffing needs, permits (when applicable), and vendor communication.
• Evaluate event success and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Collaborate with marketing to promote upcoming events.
• Provide event details, photos, and content for social media, website updates, newsletters, and promotional materials.
• Assist in increasing event attendance and customer engagement.
• Help identify new event concepts that align with the brewery's brand.

• Coordinate staffing needs with management.
• Ensure event spaces are clean, organized, and properly prepared.
• Maintain event inventory including décor, signage, supplies, and equipment.
• Monitor event budgets and assist in achieving revenue goals.
• Follow all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
• Support brewery operations during busy service periods as needed.

• Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, restaurant, brewery, or venue management preferred.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; event management software experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Sales or hospitality experience.
• Social media or marketing experience.
• Knowledge of craft beer and brewery operations.
• Experience coordinating entertainment and vendor relationships.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Ability to move tables, chairs, and event equipment (up to 50 lbs.)
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments.
