Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Duration: 12 Months (Possibility of extension) Job Summary The EHS Specialist will support the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Management System at the Client Site. This role is responsible for driving occupational safety, industrial hygiene, regulatory compliance, and environmental initiatives while promoting a proactive safety culture across the Raynham and Bridgewater facilities. Key Responsibilities Support all aspects of the site's EHS Management System. Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, local, and company EHS regulations. Provide technical support for: Chemical Management Machine Safety Warehouse & Dock Safety Ergonomics Contractor Safety Powered Industrial Vehicles Management of Change (MOC) Develop, implement, review, and maintain EHS programs, including: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Confined Space Hot Work Machine Safety Warehouse Safety Chemical Inventory Conduct: Ergonomic assessments Machine safety risk assessments Job Safety Analyses (JSA) Routine EHS inspections and audits Support incident investigations, corrective actions (CAPA), and Good Save reporting. Develop and deliver EHS training across multiple shifts. Conduct permit‑to‑work training and support electronic permit implementation. Perform: Annual rack inspections Fall prevention inspections Quarterly walkthroughs Monthly and semi‑annual EHS metric reporting Support projects focused on reducing Serious Injury/Fatality (SIF) risks, machine guarding, and ergonomics. Participate in Management of Change (MOC) reviews. Support the site's Medical Emergency Response Team. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve EHS performance across Raynham and Bridgewater sites. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 3+ years of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) experience. Experience with: Chemical Management Change Control (MOC) Emergency Response Experience managing EHS projects. Ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace safety risks. Strong understanding of EHS regulatory requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a regulated manufacturing, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or medical device environment. Knowledge of OSHA and federal, state, and local EHS regulations. Experience with: Machine Safety Hearing Conservation CAPA Chemical Handling Professional certifications such as CIH, CSP, CHMM, or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor are a plus.
