Valuations Associate

Perform daily valuation and pricing of securities in accordance with the firm's established valuation policies, procedures, and pricing methodologies - specifically Level 1 and Level 2 investments. Analyze and price a broad range of fixed income and structured finance instruments, including bonds, loans, and structured products such as ABS, CMBS, RMBS, CLOs, and other securitized assets. Apply knowledge of derivative instruments, including options, swaptions, credit default swaps (CDS), and CMBX indices, to support valuation activities. Conduct daily analytical reviews and investigate pricing exceptions, discrepancies, and valuation-related issues. Validate pricing data received from external vendors and assess the impact of pricing changes on investment portfolios and funds. Prepare, analyze, and reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly pricing and valuation reports. Research and resolve pricing challenges related to new securities, stale prices, significant price movements, and tolerance exceptions. Perform independent price verification, quality control reviews, and ongoing monitoring of security valuations. Support internal and external audits by responding to valuation-related inquiries and providing detailed documentation and analysis. Collaborate with Fund Accounting and other business units to address complex valuation and security pricing matters. Work closely with pricing vendors, brokers, administrators, managed account teams, auditors, and other external service providers to obtain market intelligence and validate pricing assumptions. Partner with senior management, portfolio managers, traders, analysts, Legal/Compliance, Tax, and Operations teams to research security transactions and ensure accurate valuations. Coordinate and support Valuation Committee meetings, including preparation of reports, analysis, meeting materials, and presentation of valuation results. Develop ad hoc analyses, reports, and valuation research in response to management and business partner requests. Engage with data providers and market participants to obtain pricing commentary, challenge valuations when appropriate, and improve pricing transparency. Perform pricing back-testing and validation analyses to assess valuation accuracy and strengthen pricing controls. #J-18808-Ljbffr Green Key Resources
