Medical Director, Clinical Development, Psychiatry

Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee clinical research strategies for Phase 1-3 psychiatric disorder studies
- Direct medical assessment of adverse events and evaluate compound safety in clinical trials
- Lead identification and selection of clinical investigators and maintain sponsor relationships
- Conduct biomarker strategy development with Research and Preclinical Development teams
- Analyze clinical study results and present findings to internal and external audiences
Requirements
- MD or DO with accredited residency training and board certification in relevant psychiatric specialty
- 2+ years clinical research and development experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or academic settings
- Proficiency in Good Clinical Practice and investigational drug development regulations
- Strong knowledge of translational medicine, biomarker evaluation, and clinical study design
- Demonstrated expertise managing CROs, clinical consultants, and cross-functional research teams
- Ability to lead independently in matrix environments while prioritizing multiple complex initiatives
- Strong scientific writing, data analysis, and regulatory document preparation skills
