Job Description - Advanced Practice Provider Outpatient Cardiac Surgery Clinic (2600028G) Advanced Practice Provider Outpatient Cardiac Surgery Clinic - ( 2600028G ) Seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider for outpatient cardiac surgery consults, pre-op optimization and post op clinic visits. Primarily located at Ahuja medical center, Chagrin Highlands, and occasional coverage at Lake West. The schedule is Mon-Fri 8 hour shifts. APP experience required and cardiac surgery experience strongly preferred. A Brief Overview The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Education Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required) (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required) Experience Qualifications 1+ years as a Physician Assistant (Preferred) 1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner (Preferred) Skills, & Abilities Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency) Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency) Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. (Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications Physician Assistant (PA) (Required) and Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred) Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required) and Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire) and Maintain national PA Certification (Required) Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio (Required) and Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr University Hospitals
