About the Position

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/DOU (Definitive Observation Unit) setting for patients requiring close monitoring and intermediate-level care between ICU and Med-Surg.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Monitor patients with cardiac, respiratory, or post-ICU conditions
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate charting and documentation

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown/DOU experience
Active California RN License (license in hand)
Current BLS Certification
Current ACLS Certification
Ability to work night shifts
Strong telemetry and critical care monitoring experience
