IMCU/Step Down Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking experienced IMCU/Step Down Registered Nurses to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidates will have a background in caring for higher-acuity patients and will be comfortable floating between various units based on skill sets and facility needs.ResponsibilitiesProvide care for intermediate care/step-down level patients.Manage critical patients, including those with tracheostomies and on ventilators.Administer and titrate critical care drips, including insulin and cardiac medications.Assess patient conditions and respond to emergencies appropriately.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.Maintain proper documentation and compliance with standard protocols.Float to other units as needed, based on patient care needs.QualificationsCurrent active RN license.Minimum of one year of experience in IMCU or step-down nursing.Experience with critical care drips and management of complex cardiac and respiratory patients.Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required.Strong skills in blood product administration and dysrhythmia interpretation.Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.Must possess a personal vehicle for assignment-related travel.Unit InformationStaffing ratios of 1:3 and 1:4 for patient care.Daily census averages around 20 patients.Units will cater to adults and geriatric patients requiring intermediate care.Interdisciplinary support available across various patient diagnoses.Additional InformationOrientation hours will be provided as part of onboarding.
