Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required | Minimum 2 Holidays Per Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit serving adult patients with cardiac, vascular, renal, respiratory, oncology, stroke, and sepsis diagnoses
• Titrate IV drips including Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Insulin per protocol
• Monitor, read, and independently interpret telemetry strips
• Manage and troubleshoot arterial lines and high-flow oxygen equipment
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5 and collaborate with charge nurses, patient care techs, and interdisciplinary team members
• Float to Med/Surg or ICU (PCU acuity patients) as needed; respond to on-call callbacks within 30 minutes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated competency with arterial lines
• Ability to independently read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips
• Must comply with facility fingernail policy — artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or IMC setting with high-acuity adult patient populations
• Experience caring for culturally diverse patient populations
• Familiarity with high-flow oxygen therapy and related respiratory support equipment
