Global Women's Health Fellowship Opportunity

We are excited to announce an opening for a fellow in our newly established Global Women's Health Fellowship program. This two-year fellowship combines clinical practice, teaching, and research at our organization and a partner institution in Mozambique. Upon completion, the fellow will earn an advanced degree in public health, fully prepared to lead a global health initiative focused on enhancing women's health, clinical education, program development, and implementation. The primary aim of this fellowship is to cultivate OBGYN professionals who are equipped to excel as leaders in Global Women's Health on an international scale. Graduates will possess the expertise necessary to pursue leadership roles in academic medicine, public health, international development, and governmental positions. Candidates must be open to relocating to Mozambique for one year.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an OBGYN residency in the United States.
• A strong commitment to promoting health equity for underserved and marginalized populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese.

Special Notes

This is a non-tenure track position and is classified as FLSA exempt, meaning it is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Our organization serves as Long Island's leading academic medical center, encompassing a comprehensive medical enterprise that integrates education, research, and patient care. This includes our main hospital, a children's hospital, five health sciences schools—covering Dental Medicine, Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing, and Social Welfare—as well as numerous centers, institutes, and over 50 community healthcare settings throughout Suffolk County.
