THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for a hardworking individual who is interested in working as a Teaching Assistant for the Summer Bridge Program. The Bridge program is a combination of virtual learning (either Math or Writing) and on-campus pre-orientation activities designed to acclimate new Babson students to the college experience. Students must be available to work July 27th through August 21st. The ideal candidate has been through the program, enjoys working with new students, and is motivated by the challenge of working with new college students. WHAT YOU WILL DO Coordinate and attend meetings with the professor and students. Providing support for students Collection and analysis of program information. Assume additional responsibilities as required. YOUR TEAM WILL INCLUDE List titles or N/A if no one supervised WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED Public Speaking skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Flexible Hours 1 year of college Ability to work independently Ability to with multiple students Ability to create an environment where direct reports have the freedom and security to take initiative; deal with complexities with resilience, resourcefulness, and optimism; and appreciate open mindedness, creativity, and agility in thought and tactics. Ability to embrace ideas and changes created by all community members. Ability to work independently to solve problems; look for opportunities to take on responsibility; take thoughtful risks; and effectively act on new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results. Ability to anticipate and effectively handles change; demonstrate willingness to try new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.
