We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Generator Team Manager to oversee our team of technicians and ensure efficient operations and exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in generator systems, and a passion for driving team performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of Generator Technicians, including scheduling, training, performance evaluation, and mentoring to ensure high standards of workmanship and professionalism.
• Plan and coordinate daily work assignments, projects, and service calls to optimize team efficiency and meet client expectations.
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of diesel and gas-powered generators according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor work progress, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and provide technical guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to develop project plans, budgets, and timelines for new installations and major service contracts.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, including maintenance logs, equipment inventory, and client communications.
• Monitor and analyze team performance metrics, such as service response times, completion rates, and customer satisfaction scores, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous learning within the team, promoting adherence to company policies and industry best practices.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for escalated client inquiries and technical issues, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining positive client relationships.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience in generator systems management.
• Proven experience managing a team of technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of diesel and gas-powered generators.
• Strong technical knowledge of generator systems, including electrical and mechanical components, controls, and power distribution systems.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of technical professionals.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interface confidently with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to travel occasionally to client sites and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification from recognized organizations such as EGSA (Electrical Generating Systems Association) or PMP (Project Management Professional).
• Experience with specific generator brands and models (e.g., Kohler, Cummins, Generac, Caterpillar).
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to generator installations and maintenance.
