- Keep Theater Coordinator informed of progress and problems
- Prepare a short performance with students to share at the end of the term (as appropriate).
- Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned by Theater Coordinator.
- Manage planned or unplanned absences in a manner that helps Greenwich House ensure programming coverage to meet the students’ needs.
- The successful candidate interacts with all levels of personnel, customers and clients of Greenwich House and maintains cordial business relationships with the agency’s other programs.
- Before working in a school setting, the candidate will complete paperwork needed for a criminal background check and attend a fingerprinting appointment to verify there is no history of child abuse or maltreatment.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in performing arts or applied theater or three years of experience teaching performing arts to school aged children.
- Demonstrated experience writing and implementing lesson plans using a participant centered approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Professional integrity and a strong sense of moral and ethical standards.
