The medical center operates a 129,000-square-foot ambulatory clinic and maintains established surgical infrastructure and protocols to support quality patient care delivery across the cardiothoracic surgery service line.

The cardiothoracic surgeon will conduct daily hospital rounds on cardiothoracic surgery patients and manage both inpatient and outpatient consultations throughout the assignment period. Primary clinical responsibilities include providing operating room coverage for cardiac surgery cases and responding to thoracic trauma emergencies requiring immediate surgical intervention. Clinicians must maintain 24-hour call availability with continuous on-site presence to ensure comprehensive coverage for all cardiothoracic surgical needs, including emergency and scheduled procedures. Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery and prescriptive authority are required for this assignment.
