Employment Litigation Associate

Jackson Lewis P.C. is a national law firm with over 1,000 attorneys specializing in employment and labor law. Responsibilities Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases Provide advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of labor and employment laws and regulations Qualifications JD from an ABA-accredited law school and excellent academic credentials 5+ years of litigation experience, employment law background strongly preferred Active NC bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly Understanding of current court and employment-related agency (state and federal) procedures Excellent written and oral communication skills Attention to detail and commitment to excellence Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational, time-management, and project-management skills Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork, and ability to work independently on various projects Benefits Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Flexible Spending and Health Savings Account Firm-paid holidays, vacation and sick time Employee assistance program and other firm benefits Equal Employment Opportunity We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
