Department 34401 Atrium Health Lake Norman - Nursing: Medical/Surgical Status Part time Benefits Eligible Yes Hours Per Week 24 Schedule Details / Additional Information 2, 12-hour night shifts per week Holiday rotation Weekend rotation Pay Range $38.20 - $57.30 Where You Will Work The Med-Surg unit at Atrium Health Lake Norman is a 24-bed unit offering a fast-paced, team-focused environment dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Nurses on this unit manage a diverse range of medical and post-surgical patients, providing valuable experience and opportunities to build strong inpatient clinical skills. With a bedside ratio of 1:6, the unit supports safe, efficient care while fostering collaboration among nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary teams. Teamwork, communication, and a commitment to compassionate care are at the core of the unit’s culture. Expectations We’re Looking For Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association ACLS are required within 6 months of hire 1 year of med surg experience preferred What You’ll Do As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
