Mechanical Service Boiler Technician

The Mechanical Service Boiler Technician is responsible for comprehending and utilizing blueprints, sketches, drawings, technical manuals, and work process instructions to install, and repair ancillary boiler equipment and instrumentation. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist Engineering and Service Technicians by providing expertise, support, and maintaining a positive outlook at all times. Test and inspect boiler systems. Inspect assembled vessels and individual components, such as tubes, fittings, valves, controls, and auxiliary mechanisms, to locate any defects. Evaluate basic boiler room systems (steam and hydronic), gather information, and help solve problems. Troubleshoot and repair valves, motors, and safety devices. Provide support to sales staff, participate in sales meetings. Lead and ensure mechanical project documentation is completed accurately and execute on all assigned project responsibilities. Install manholes, handholes, taps, tubes, valves, gauges, and feedwater connections in tube boilers, using hand tools. Ensure all third-party welders are qualified on all Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) required per the project. Ensure accurate material planning and loading of all project materials needed. Clean equipment, using scrapers, wire brushes, and cleaning solvents. Read cut sheets layout from drawing and cut material from layout and cut sheets. Interpret drawings, and assemble required material, use work tools and knowledge of specialty tools to complete work. Ability to make modifications to the equipment with these drawings. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to current or daily job duties. Comply with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution to avoid any type of incidents and/or accidents. Complete service reports on the job, have clients sign the completed report before leaving the site, submit the signed reports to the office. #J-18808-Ljbffr
