Job Overview Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Technician – Viroqua, WI. Full‑time, 36 hours per week (0.9FTE). 8–9‑hour days, Monday–Friday, 7:30a.m.–5:00p.m., no weekends. Starting pay $22.40 per hour plus shift differentials, with growth potential based on experience. Responsibilities Perform routine laboratory testing on a variety of specimens. Operate on all full‑scope procedures including chemical, microscopic, bacteriologic, molecular, and transfusion medicine. Analyze information and monitor quality performance to ensure accurate, timely results. Develop and implement laboratory procedures. Maintain quality control and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Assist with sample collection, including EKG, DOT drug screens, and breath alcohol collections. Handle approximately 35–50 patients per day across all ages and abilities. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or Clinical Laboratory Science. ASCP Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification preferred but not required. Proficiency in specimen collection, processing, and analysis. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues. Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures. Attention to detail and precision in work.
