Job Summary

Provide compassionate and professional neurodiagnostic testing services to patients and healthcare providers by accurately performing EEG and EP tests. Deliver timely and courteous communication of test results to ordering practitioners, ensuring high standards of care.

Essential Responsibilities

Conduct interpretable EEGs and evoked potentials on a diverse patient population, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, both inpatient and outpatient. Adapt techniques to accommodate varying levels of patient disability and illness severity. Maintain neurodiagnostic equipment and laboratory safety, ensuring quality control standards are met. Facilitate patient transportation to and from the lab or perform portable recordings when necessary. Apply specialized knowledge for unique recordings such as electrocerebral silence. Collaborate effectively with physicians and medical staff to support patient care and maintain positive working relationships. Manage scheduling in coordination with department supervisors to address fluctuating testing demands. Order and maintain necessary laboratory supplies. Continuously develop understanding of neurological disorders affecting test results. Accurately enter billing charges into the hospital system. Support quality control and maintenance initiatives, addressing discrepancies promptly. Participate in educational in-services as required by department leadership.

Education and Experience

Must be a Registered EEG Technologist or meet ABRET requirements to obtain Registered EEG Credential. Enrollment in an accredited program is acceptable for new graduates, who have one year to achieve certification.

Licensure/Certifications

ABRET Board Certification is mandatory.

Work Shift: 4th Shift, part-time, scheduled as needed.

This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
