Job Title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)
Job Description
This role focuses on preventative and reactive maintenance for a wide range of industrial equipment, with a strong emphasis on electrical troubleshooting and multi-craft skills. You will support production by diagnosing and repairing foam injection machines, boilers, presses, and related systems, working primarily on 2nd shift in a clean, climate-controlled facility.
Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on foam injection machines, large boilers, large presses, motors, breakers, fuses, hydraulics, pneumatics, steam-operated circuits, wrappers, expanders, water pumps, welding equipment, plasma cutters, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems ranging from 5V DC to 480V 3-phase AC using multimeters, schematics, and proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs by following ladder logic, checking inputs and outputs, resetting servo motors, and replacing electrical and PLC boards as needed.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics to identify faults, replace fuses, breakers, and circuitry, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Support boiler operations by performing maintenance and troubleshooting activities when needed.
• Carry out mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, pumps, welding equipment, and related mechanical systems.
• Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed to support equipment repairs and modifications.
• Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to minimize downtime and ensure timely completion of repairs.
• Communicate clearly about equipment status, especially when a machine is expected to be down for more than one hour, regardless of the time of day.
• Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO and safe work practices, while standing, stooping, bending, crawling, climbing, and balancing as required by the job.
• Document maintenance activities and repairs accurately to support continuous improvement and equipment reliability.
• Work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and strong job tenure.

Essential Skills

• 10+ years of Industrial Maintenance Technician experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• 10+ years of mechanical troubleshooting experience, including hydraulics, pneumatics, motor repair, pumps, welding equipment, and similar systems.
• 7+ years of electrical troubleshooting experience with 480V 3-phase systems, including using a multimeter, performing LOTO, reading electrical schematics, and replacing fuses, breakers, circuitry, and electrical and PLC boards.
• 5+ years of PLC troubleshooting experience, including working with HMIs, VFDs, following ladder logic, checking inputs and outputs, and resetting servo motors.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment operating from 5V DC up to 480V 3-phase AC.
• Comfort and proficiency with LOTO procedures and safe electrical work practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs; familiarity with Siemens PLCs is beneficial and can be taught if primary experience is with other platforms.
• Strong communication skills to provide timely updates on machine status and downtime.
• Good job tenure, typically 2+ years at previous employers, demonstrating reliability and commitment.
• Physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, crawl, climb, balance, and perform hands-on maintenance tasks throughout the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with boiler maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Welding and fabrication experience to support repairs and custom modifications.
• PLC editing and programming experience, especially with Siemens platforms.
• Experience working with steam-operated circuits, wrappers, expanders, and large industrial presses.
• Familiarity with servo motors, HMIs, and VFDs in an industrial setting.
• Ability to function as a strong team player and contribute positively to a collaborative maintenance team.

Work Environment
You will work in a clean, climate-controlled facility on 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with a shift premium. The role involves hands-on work with industrial equipment ranging from 5V DC to 480V 3-phase AC, including foam injection machines, boilers, presses, hydraulics, pneumatics, and various electrical and mechanical systems. The position requires regular standing, stooping, bending, crawling, climbing, and balancing while performing maintenance tasks. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00/yr.
