Medical Laboratory Technician

Job Summary Utilizes laboratory skills to perform and report clearly defined procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Responsible for assigned shifts, with potential overtime and callbacks, and performs additional duties as needed. Responsibilities Receives, identifies, organizes, and prioritizes specimens for accurate and timely testing. Performs and reports laboratory procedures. Conducts quality control, proficiency testing, routine instrument maintenance, and inventory management. Ensures positive patient identification to minimize errors and adverse outcomes. Supports lifelong learning and completes assigned goals. Qualifications & Skills No experience required; completion of an accredited MLT program is necessary. Preferred hospital experience. Basic computer literacy is required; advanced skills are a plus.
