Warehouse Tech 1 – Shipping & Logistics
Job OverviewHalpin Staffing Services is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Tech 1 to support outbound shipping and logistics operations. This position is responsible for picking and packing domestic and international shipments, preparing shipping and customs documentation, coordinating carrier pickups, and ensuring materials are delivered to customers accurately and on time.
The ideal candidate has warehouse or packaging experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to coordinate shipments across multiple departments. Experience with SAP and international shipping is a plus.
What You’ll Do- Pick and pack domestic and international shipments using RF scanners and a computer-based SAP system.
- Prepare customs documentation, Bills of Lading (BOLs), and Air Waybills (AWBs) for outbound shipments.
- Schedule shipments with carriers and coordinate transportation arrangements.
- Communicate with Demand Planning, Customer Service, and international affiliates to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and support efficient warehouse operations.
- Associate degree or a high school diploma/GED with at least three years of packaging or warehouse experience.
- Intermediate computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- SAP experience and previous international shipping experience preferred.
