Sr. AI Engineer

Tandym Group

An on-site Sr. AI Engineer opportunity is available in Houston, Texas, offering the chance to design and deploy scalable artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions in an enterprise environment. This role focuses on building production-grade AI applications, integrating models into cloud-based systems, and supporting end-to-end model lifecycle work.

About the Opportunity:

Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Hours: Standard business
Setting: On-site

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and optimize machine learning and deep learning models
Build NLP, computer vision, or predictive analytics solutions
Train, test, and evaluate models for accuracy, scalability, and performance
Fine-tune pre-trained models for business use cases
Deploy AI solutions using APIs, containers, or microservices and support production monitoring

Qualifications:

8+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on AI tool experience
Experience programming in Python, Java, or Scala
Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
Experience with AWS and model deployment in cloud environments
Experience with APIs, microservices, and version control using Git
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

Desired Skills:

Experience with prompt engineering, LLMs, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs, or Claude tools
Experience with Docker, ECS, EKS, or CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Pandas, NumPy, Spark, data pipelines, or ETL processes
Understanding of distributed systems
