DentistSalary Range $150,000.00 - $165,000.00 Salary/year Level Experienced Position Type Full-Time/Part-Time Job Shift Day Education Level Graduate DegreeDentistJOB TITLE: DentistLOCATION: Grass ValleyREPORTS TO: Dental DirectorSUPERVISION EXERCISED: Registered Dental AssistantGENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:Contract position responsible for providing high-quality dental care for Western Sierra Dental Clinic patients with the goal of patient learning to prevent dental disease.GENERAL DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)Practice general dentistry including:Preventative CareDiagnosisRestorativeOral SurgeryPeriodonticsEndodonticsCrownsDenturesComplete treatment plans for all patients examined.Maintain records of treatments.Patient and community education.Develop and implement infection control procedures.Supervise Registered Dental Assistant and provide direction to Dental Receptionist.Maintain current CPR requirements.Documents all pertinent information in the patient's electronic medical record according to Western Sierra Medical Clinic's Policies and Procedures.Upholds Western Sierra Medical Clinic's Policies and Procedures, infection control standards, and applicable state, federal, and local laws.Quality Improvement Duties:Participates in quality improvement activities;Participates as assigned in interdepartmental quality improvement team efforts; andContributes to overall Community Health Center efforts in quality improvement towards higher-quality, more cost-effective health care for patients and improved quality of work-life for staff members.QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Minimum Requirement:Valid license to practice dentistry in the State of CaliforniaAbility to perform dentistry on all age groupsKnowledge of current infection control requirementsAdditional Preferred Experience:Familiarity with an electronic practice management system.Computer literate (i.e. logging on to computer, usage of keyboard and mouse, familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel).Ability to type 40 wpm.Salary range for this position is $150,000 to $165,000 annually.
