Job Description Mulesoft Architect at CapTech are part of a capable, highly motivated community who strive to continuously learn the latest tools and architectures to deliver innovative solutions for our clients. We design, develop, and deliver high-quality enterprise systems, as well as systems integrations and work in a project‑based consulting environment. Our solutions include API‑driven clients, microservice architectures, event‑driven integrations, cloud deployments, serverless applications, and web and portal front ends. Specific responsibilities for the Mulesoft Architect position include: Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver a technical solution that meet the unique needs of our clients. Partner with clients on cross‑functional, team‑based projects to deliver scalable Mulesoftsolutions across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies Serve as a trusted technical advisor, managing architectural scope while aligning technical solutions with business goals Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, setting clear expectations and guiding decision‑making Create quality deliverables to communicate technical solutions to appropriate audiences. Leverage CapTech’s internal programs and self‑directed training to continually develop industry relevant knowledge and skills. Communicate effectively to team members with varying degrees of technical knowledge. Demonstrate technical thought leadership by contributing to architectural standards, best practices, and reusable accelerators Mentor architects and developers through architecture reviews, communities of practice, and ongoing knowledge sharing Participate in technical pre‑sales activities, including solution design, estimations, and delivery scoping for prospective clients Gain exposure to a variety of clients, business models, and industry verticals Qualifications Specific qualifications for the Mulesoft Architect position include: Experience with MuleSoft 4.x at a high architectural level Project experience with MuleSoft Integrations 10+ years software development experience Extensive knowledge of Integration patterns Experience creating Mule applications in Anypoint Studio Ability to design APIs and publish to Anypoint Exchange Familiarity with designing APIs in RAML Applied knowledge of API Development using REST and/or SOAP Experience integrating Enterprise applications such as Salesforce, SAP, Workday, Oracle ERP Familiarity with microservice architectures, design patterns, and monitoring tools Experience with cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and/or GCP a plus Experience with relational database technologies, both traditional and current (NoSQL) Experience with the CI/CD pipeline Experience working with LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Mistral, etc.) in production settingExperience with prompt engineering, MCP and RAG, and agentic AI architectures Strong understanding of conversational UX and prompt evaluation metrics Experience with agentic frameworks in practice (langchain, n8n, pydantic, etc) Experience with vibe coding and multi‑agents Demonstrated experience in enterprise security practices Additional Information We want everyone at CapTech to be able to envision a lasting and rewarding career here, which is why we offer a variety of career paths based on your skills and passions.
