OVERNIGHT JANITOR (FULL TIME)

OVERNIGHT JANITOR Location: United Lounges-ORD-Polaris - United Airlines ORDCS Terminal, Chicago, IL 60666. Schedule: Full time, overnight shift 9:00 pm – 5:30 am, 40 hours per week. Weekends and holidays required. Requirements: Previous customer service or janitorial experience required. Pay Range: $23.00 – $23.50 per hour. Benefits: Union membership, insurance, pension, 401(k), 50‑cent hourly increase after 6 months, parking, train discount, lunch, uniforms, weekly pay, free meals, laundering service. Responsibilities Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans. Dusts and mops floors following approved procedures. Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and places furniture back in correct position. Cleans assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment. Sanitizes all surfaces and follows the eight‑step cleaning procedure. Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment. Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task. Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor. Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines. Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet. Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others. Performs other duties as assigned.
