Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Summerville, SC

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization in Summerville, SC. This individual will take ownership of the general ledger function and play a key role in supporting financial reporting, month-end close, audits, and process improvements. Working directly with the VP of Finance, this position offers the opportunity to help build scalable accounting processes and grow into a leadership role as the company continues to expand.

What You’ll Do:

• Own the full-cycle general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements.
\n
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
\n
• Partner with FP&A, Tax, and Operations to support financial reporting and accounting activities.
\n
• Maintain general ledger accuracy, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
\n
• Prepare monthly financial statements, account analyses, and supporting schedules.
\n
• Serve as a primary point of contact for external audits, preparing requested documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
\n
• Assist with tax, compliance, and other financial reporting requirements.
\n
• Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.
\n
• Support accounting automation and enhancements to ERP, accounts payable, and expense management systems.
\n
• Assist with special projects and financial analyses as the company continues to grow.

What We’re Looking For:

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.
\n
• 5+ years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience within a manufacturing environment required.
\n
• Strong general ledger accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting experience.
\n
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
\n
• Experience working with ERP and accounting systems.
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
\n
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of accounting processes.
\n
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
\n
• Cost accounting experience preferred.
\n
• CPA preferred but not required.
\n
• Comfortable working in a growing, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
