Assistant Cafe Manager

Position Summary The Assistant Café Manager supports the Café Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Friendship Café. This role helps ensure outstanding customer service, high-quality food and beverages, efficient operations, and a positive, inclusive work environment for employees with and without disabilities. The Assistant Café Manager serves as the manager on duty when the Café Manager is unavailable. Responsibilities Assist with the daily operation of the café. Provide exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns. Supervise, train, and support café staff and trainees. Help with scheduling and shift coverage. Ensure food quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards are met. Assist with inventory, catering, and cash handling. Open and close the café as needed. Foster an inclusive, welcoming workplace that reflects Friendship Circle’s mission. Ability to work on many Sunday’s Qualifications Previous café, restaurant, or retail leadership experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills. Organized, dependable, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods. Passion for teamwork, hospitality, and serving an inclusive community.
