Housekeeper / Environmental Services Aide (Healthcare & Senior Living) Location: Allegria Village – Dearborn, MI Schedule: Part-time, afternoon shift Meaningful Cleaning Role in a Healthcare Setting Allegria Village is hiring a Housekeeper / Environmental Services Aide to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents in our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing community. This is not hotel housekeeping —this role focuses on infection control, sanitation, and supporting resident health and dignity in a healthcare environment. What You’ll Do: Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, and common spaces Follow infection control and sanitation procedures to healthcare standards Use approved cleaning chemicals and disinfectants safely Operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, floor machines, buffers, etc.) Handle and dispose of waste and soiled materials according to safety guidelines Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors Maintain high-touch surfaces and shared community areas Support a clean, respectful environment for residents and staff What We’re Looking For: Housekeeping, janitorial, or cleaning experience preferred (healthcare, hotel, or commercial cleaning) Comfort working in a healthcare environment Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety protocols Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused Willingness to learn infection control and chemical handling procedures Why This Job Matters: You directly contribute to the health and safety of residents Stable, year-round work in one location Structured environment with clear expectations Supportive team atmosphere Meaningful work that makes a daily impact Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs Standing, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling throughout shift Work in a healthcare environment that may include exposure to cleaning chemicals and biohazard materials (training provided) #J-18808-Ljbffr thevillageal
