Full-time Seasonal weekly requirements are three 12-hour shifts for the 13-week contract (excludes 1st week of orientation) $1,500 completion bonus for meeting minimum productive time Eligible for shift differentials. $3.50 for evenings, $5 for nights, and $6 for weekends. These are stackable (as applicable by time/day). The first week is Monday- Friday orientation. Although this is a short term (13 week) assignment, you would be a Baylor employee (not contractual, agency, etc.). The hope is that once the assignment is concluded, you will convert to a regular FT, PT, or PRN role.

Neonatal Intensive Care

Shift: Nights, 7pm - 7am

Requirement: Min of 3 years of Level III or higher NICU experience

Neonatal Intensive Care

Patient Population: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit caring for infants 23 weeks gestation and up

Patient Ratios: 1:2 or 1:3 depending on acuity

Number of Beds: 13

Department Specifics: Level III Designated NICU, Greater than 95% BSN, 34% Specialty Certified, 200+ admission annually, and active Unit Practice Council

Job Summary

As a Seasonal RN, you align with our nursing model, manage patient care, evaluate, recognize, create, implement care plans. Monitor patient progress is also vital. Your knowledge will help patients navigate the healthcare system safely, reducing complications. You will use your expertise to understand patient needs and the healthcare environment.

Essential Functions of the Role

• Using good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards.
• Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed.
• Creating safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
• Managing emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
• Min of 3 years of Level III or higher NICU experience
