Step into a dynamic, contract-based role supporting young learners near New Bedford, MA as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA). This position focuses on elementary through early childhood students and spans the entire school year, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children’s communication skills during formative early academic stages. Compensation for this role ranges from $30 to $42 per hour, commensurate with experience in school-based settings.

Key Qualifications:

• Current SLPA license or eligibility in Massachusetts
• Previous experience in a school environment, particularly with early childhood and elementary ages
• Familiarity with implementing speech and language therapy plans under the direction of a certified SLP
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to adapt to the unique needs of diverse student populations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work closely with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver targeted therapies
• Assist in student screenings, assessments, and ongoing progress monitoring
• Support and carry out individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
• Foster an encouraging, engaging environment conducive to learning and speech development
• Communicate with educators and families to support student success
• Maintain accurate student records and therapy documentation throughout the school year
