Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg \n Discipline: RN \n Start Date: ASAP \n Duration: 13 weeks \n 36 hours per week \n Shift: 12 hours, rotating \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n \n Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2236.72 \n \n Opportunity: \n RN - Medical/Surgical (Acute Care) \n Job Details: \n • 12-hour rotating day/night shifts with weekends scheduled as needed (typically 1 out of every 2 weekends) \n • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6/7 - must be comfortable with ratios up to 1:7 \n • 30-bed acute care unit \n • No on-call or standby requirement \n • Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract \n • Common patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, rule-out cholecystitis, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI \n • Required to titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results \n • Telemetry monitoring available on unit, watched remotely by monitor technicians \n • Intermittent BiPAP used on unit (no ventilators) \n • PCTs/nurse aides available on the unit \n • Charge RN on the floor with assignment \n • Floating required as needed based on census - travel nurses are floated first \n • Charting system: EPIC \n • BSN not required \n • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS \n • Scrub color: Navy Blue \n • Must reside outside of 50-mile radius - copy of unexpired driver's license required at submission \n Facility: \n This acute care facility operates a 30-bed medical/surgical unit providing comprehensive inpatient care for a wide range of conditions. The unit is supported by PCTs, remote telemetry monitoring technicians, and a dedicated charge nurse.
