Registered Nurse Resource Pool

Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The RN utilizes the nursing process using technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence‑based practice, and coordination with other health team members. About the Role As a Denver Resource Pool RN, you will provide compassionate, patient‑centered care while floating among Good Samaritan, St. Joseph, Lutheran, and Platte Valley hospitals. This offers full‑time employment with a 10% float differential. Key Responsibilities Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based care across multiple units and hospital settings Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including providers, specialists, and support staff Accurately document patient data, interventions, and responses Adapt quickly to new environments, workflows, and patient needs Maintain professional, ethical, and regulatory standards across all facilities Deliver patient and family education to support safe and informed care transitions Minimum Qualifications Current RN license in the state of practice; compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days of employment start Minimum 1 year of RN experience Willingness to float to all four Denver facilities (Good Samaritan, St. Joseph, Lutheran, Platte Valley) BLS certification for health‑care providers RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a B.S.N. within four (4) years of hire date Preferred Qualifications B.S.N. from an accredited institution Strong communication, adaptability, and critical‑thinking skills Experience in multiple specialty areas or high‑acuity settings B.S.N. required as of last update (4/27/2025); earlier hires will be held to prior requirements Compensation & Schedule Full time 10% Float Differential for all hours worked in the Denver Resource Pool Hourly rate: $37.17 - $56.17 (dependent on experience) 40 scheduled weekly hours Physical Requirements Ongoing need to see, read, and assess patient needs; operate monitors; identify equipment and supplies Frequent verbal communication with patients, providers, and visitors; quickly comprehend alarms and situations Manual dexterity for manipulating complex equipment; frequent computer use; typing Lifting and transferring patients; lifting and carrying supplies of varying weights, including heavy items Walking and assisting with transporting/ambulating patients; pushing/pulling gurneys and equipment Standing for extended periods as required For driving roles: expected to drive vehicle; sight, reading, and traffic compliance Location Good Samaritan Hospital, Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital, Peaks Regional Office, Platte Valley Hospital, Saint Joseph Hospital – Broomfield, Colorado.
